{"id":795,"date":"2022-02-02T01:18:07","date_gmt":"2022-02-02T01:18:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/q1dapyf5zv.onrocket.site\/?p=795"},"modified":"2022-02-02T01:18:09","modified_gmt":"2022-02-02T01:18:09","slug":"el-negocio-del-tequila-en-mexico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/taxid.mx\/english\/el-negocio-del-tequila-en-mexico\/","title":{"rendered":"The Tequila Business in Mexico"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In 2020 Mexico produced 374 million liters of tequila, making it a big business in Mexico as in the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tequila is the most representative drink in Mexico, which is produced from the fermentation and distillation of the juice extracted from the agave. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tequila can be found in different classes such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>white or silver,<\/li><li>young Or Gold,<\/li><li>restful, <\/li><li>old,<\/li><li>extra aged, and <\/li><li>booking.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>  The production of tequila in Mexico has gone from 104.3 million liters in 1995 to 374 million liters in 2020 according to the portal <a href=\"https:\/\/es.statista.com\/estadisticas\/1092130\/produccion-tequila-mexico\/#main-content\">statist<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The great acceptance in the international market of tequila and the commercial agreements that Mexico has, helped that by 2020 they would have been exported <a href=\"https:\/\/es.statista.com\/estadisticas\/1170629\/mexico-cantidad-exportada-tequila\/\">286.7 million liters<\/a> being the United States of America the main destination of these exports.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The &quot;boom&quot; that tequila is experiencing today has prompted different international public figures to acquire their own brand, such as Michael Jordan, George Clooney, Nick Jonas and Kendal Jenner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we can see, the tequila business in Mexico is attractive to the entire world, opening up possibilities to export to practically any part of the world.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently the main destinations of tequila in the world are: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>USA, Germany, Spain, Canada, France and Latvia during the year 2020, so tequila can be found practically in any country in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Mexico, the sale of tequila is taxed with the <a href=\"https:\/\/taxid.mx\/english\/2022\/01\/20\/que-impuestos-se-pagan-en-mexico\/\">Special Tax on Production and Services (IEPS) <\/a>with a rate of 53%, however when it is exported it does not cause said tax. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the ways to be able to export tequila to different parts of the world is by setting up a company and<a href=\"https:\/\/taxid.mx\/english\/2022\/01\/22\/como-crear-una-empresa-en-mexico-siendo-extranjero\/\">in the country<\/a>.
