The letters invitation of the SAT for wage and salary withholdings have the objective of informing the taxpayer of the obligations that the authority has detected as omitted and, as its name indicates, "inviting" them to comply by presenting the corresponding declarations.

It is important to respond to these invitation letters (within 15 days of receipt of the invitation letter) and correct our tax situation as soon as possible to avoid being subject to any sanction or fine.

To respond to the invitation letter, you must enter "My SAT portal” with the taxpayer's RFC and password, within the portal we must select the option Internet Services, Clarifications and finally Request, where we will select the procedure we are carrying out from the drop-down list; In this case, we must choose the option “Letters or invitation emails” and in the subject we will place the reason for the invitation letter.

A brief document can be submitted in the description box on the website or we recommend attaching a PDF document explaining to the authority that we have complied with the omitted obligations and attaching evidence in this case, it may be the declarations filed and paid, statements of account where it is visible that the payment of the withholdings has been made, payroll receipts that show the withholdings of salaries and wages as well as the periods they comprise, among other evidence that we consider to be pertinent to leave the information settled and we can leave more evidence that the obligation that was detected as not presented has been complied with.

It is important to be aware of the tax mailbox since the authority may require additional information and it is important to present it within the established deadlines.

Likewise, the authority will inform us if the clarification has been successful, which will close the application process.
