This program offers Refunds of up to 40% on audiovisual services and 20% on logistics services for those who invest in the state when developing their projects.
Who can apply?
- Individuals or legal entities with activity in the audiovisual industry.
- With tax domicile or branch in Mexico (preferably in Jalisco).
- With a minimum of three years of experience in audiovisual production.
- Ensure a minimum percentage of investment in Jalisco, depending on the type of project (large industry or SME).
What do you need to present?
- Official identification or articles of incorporation.
- Proof of address and proof of tax status.
- Financial scheme with at least 50% of the total investment insured.
- Production plan, schedule and distribution plan.
- Letter of commitment to invest in Jalisco.
- Curriculum Vitae of producer, director and screenwriter.
- Certificate of the “Pro-integrity companies” course.
- Project cover and list of technical staff in Jalisco.
- Tax compliance opinion (art. 32-D of the Federal Tax Code).
- Declaration of not being a public servant.
- Registration in the audiovisual sector registry or association.
- Translated documentation if it is in a foreign language.
How to register?
- Enter: filma.jalisco.gob.mx
- Complete the online form and upload your documentation.
- The Film Commission will evaluate your application.
- You will have 10 business days to correct observations if requested.
How is it decided?
Projects are evaluated based on:
- Economic impact in Jalisco.
- Career path of those responsible.
- Commercial viability.
Additionally, you can earn extra points if:
- The direction or production is in the hands of a woman, an indigenous person, or an Afro-descendant.
- You include inclusion or gender protocols.
- You incorporate personnel with disabilities.
- You have your tax headquarters in Jalisco.
- You continue previous projects.
What happens if you are selected?
- Signs agreement with the Ministry of Tourism.
- You receive the incentive as reimbursement for verifiable expenses.
- You must meet conditions such as:
- Include institutional credits.
- Hire at least four interns from Jalisco.
- Allow monitoring and auditing.
- Take out film insurance.
